Counseling

Catherine believes that understanding and validating the painful parts of our lives helps us have the compassion needed for ourselves and others to live more fully and joyfully.

This can be a difficult process when we face the truths of what we needed and didn’t get as children, when we look at devastating things that happened that were out of our control and when we look at how we may have contributed as adults to our suffering. Catherine encourages everyone to face these challenging moments and know they can live with them and learn to thrive.

Catherine uses a combination of trauma-informed practices to assist in the therapy process. She is EMDR trained, is a certified Compassion Bereavement Care counselor (https://www.missfoundation.org), attachment trained, DBT trained and has multiple pieces of training in somatic interventions, nervous system balance and is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT).

Catherine serves clients from adolescence to adulthood. Various forms of insurance, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United and all KanCare contractors, are accepted. Private pay clients are also accepted, and costs range from $110-$165 an hour, depending on the service offered.
